The Realms Of The Gods
As we can see the reason for going into the Fissure of Woe is to help Balthazar to stop his half brother, Menzies, from taking over, and the reason for the Underworld is to help Grenth to invade it and take it from Duhuum.
But what about the other gods you might ask, well they dont have problems in their realms that they need help with, so lets think of those problems
Dwayna - [Celestial Haven] - I have two ideas for this. After the Shadow Army fails to invade FoW (Fissure of Woe) they turn their eyes to CH (Celestial Haven).
Dwayna asks you to help push them back and kick them out of CH, or All the spirits are being manipulated by the shadow army and are going on a destructive rampage. Your job is to stop them
What its like:
The Celestial Haven is a place that is bright with pure streams, lush forest, bright sky with an unidentifiable light source (kind of like pre-searing)
Things you can obtain in CH:
*High-end drops
*ectos obsidian and diamonds
*Celestial Armor - The opposite of Obsidian Armor, bright and cheery in stead of dark and gloomy.
This armor requires ectos and diamonds (instead of obsidian; now we have a use for diamonds, yay)
Melandru - [Shrouded Mire] - Disease and plague has spread throughout the realm. The creatures of the forest are turning into plague ridden monstrosities and must be stopped. You must find the source of this new evil and stop it.
What its like:
Deep, dark forests and semi high mountain area, may even incorporate a lake region too, a Norwegian style arena. Many surprises, traps, hidden enemies, vine bridges. In this realm there are many animals to be tamed.
Things you can obtain in SM (Shrouded Mire):
*High-end drops
*ectos obsidian and diamonds
*Giant Tortoise
*Pygmy Hippo
*Red Panda
*Ocelot (looks like a mini leopard)
(If you have another pet that would be cool please list)
Lyssa - [Tower of Deception] - (Lyssa is the Twin Goddess) Lyssa has dis discovered a horrible "mirror" world where theres another being for everyone in her domain.
You must go in and defeat the evil counterparts and free the land of these "twin beings". At the end you get to fight your Doppleganger again.
What its like:
A very surreal place with grasslands, a dark purple sky and a giant castle in the middle with winding staircases and mazes. Mountains and lakes. Lots of floating stuff.
Things you can obtain in ToD (Tower of Deception):
*High-end drops
*A new appearance
*ectos obsidian and diamonds

As I already wrote somewhere:
great ideas that probably won't ever get implemented as most of the designer staff is working on the GW2

It could get implemented in GW2. When I look around this forum, I see all kinds of great ideas, for which I see no reason for Anet not to put them into GW, but that would probably require too much time and effort. Maybe Guild Wars is actually just a learning/testing stage for Anet, it is a pretty unique game after all. They just didn't really know how to do certain things, and after getting alot of ideas from players, they will now know what to do to make GW2 a great game. For this reason, my expectations of GW2 are very high.

Yay! [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] used on this thread by above poster.
Ok, this has been suggested over 9000 times already, and is not going to happen, so get over it.

Dwayna: Angel's Playground. There, all NPCs are allied or neutral. No hostile NPCs. Instead of fights, there would be minigames. A total of 11 minigames you must win against all type of NPCs from all the campaigns. The NPCs giving the quests are Dwayna's Angels.
Melandru: Trees. A lot of them, and Druids.
Lyssa: A Maze. A huge maze that is composed of a lot of doors. Evertime you kill a creature, a door opens and another door closes. The price would be inde the middle, and you'll have to choose where to go when more than one door is opened.

When I imagine a realm for dwayna, I don't really imaging a "pre-like area" that many people seem to be saying to make her realm like. I imagine a pure white area, with white ground n whatnot, kinda like there is snow all over the place, but just in looks *for anyone who played Devil May Cry 1 and 3, part of the demon world is basically pure white, thats what I think of for some reaosn.* Also, for dwayna's realm, I don't see it as being a place to have enemies really, just allies and neutral NPCs, so with the quest idea for this realm, I'd have to say minigames would be the best thing to do, although then it'd be really easy to get all the stuff done.
For Melandru, I picture a maguuma jungle like place, without the dry parts. A pure forest realm, maybe a combination of the maguuma and pre, have a few fields in the realm. Only type of enemy I would image being here would be rebelous druids or something.
As for Lyssa, I like the idea of floating castles and mirages all over the place, maybe have portals around the place like in The Dragon's Lair mission, also with see-through walls (those things really messed me up, *runs into wall* ow). Maybe as enemies, lyssa would be testing the players. The whole enemy concept *which is the reaosn why the characters go into FoW and UW* is kinda hard for me to make up.
A second FoW-like armor would be nice, maybe in Dwayna's realm if its all bright and whatnot.

The opposite FoW armor sounds cool. I haven't gotten FoW armor cause it looks so dark and I like white armor more ^^ Could be something like the white mantle warriors wear, or some flashy diamond armor ^^

We'll see if Anet gets around to this. I'll like this to be done, but most likely they'll forget about it and work on GW2.

The worst bad jokes are the best jokes, XD.
But for Lyssa's Realm I would really add a Labirinth. Something purplish filled with Minotaurs and 'weird' creatures like Wind Riders.
Of course, all mesmer or secondary mesmer. People should learn to fear the mesmers, XD.

I like this. Make the hidden spawns and traps completely random. The game needs more of this, unexpected is good.

/signed. I'll second the above poster, this thread was done in 2006. Also, clearly Lyssa's realm, if it ever gets made is to be filled with cute fluffly bunnies that become ablaze titans that want to do nothing but kill you.

The Realm Of The Gods
Its good to read a decent storyline to work ideas off. I have used and altered parts of Allanon Darks post, as well as some other posts. Hope you enjoy my scenarios.
Dwayana - [Celestial Haven]:
When you first enter you are at the foot of a giant tree that appears to rise into the heavens. The tree is vast and expansive and covers the majority of your screen for awhile. The initial area is lush and green with smooth running waters. The sky is a pale blue with an unidentifiable lighting source. When you take your first step a dark spot appears at the party's northern location and dark creatures issue forth while turning the sky a Deep Dark Blue. They fight you with aeromancy and other twisted healing arts. Upon defeating this first encounter an avatar of Dwayana issues forth and informs you of her plight and the plight of the Gods. Dwayana's realm is under attack by the Shadow Army that also plagues Balthazar. However, these Shadow Army soldiers are Dwayana's old followers whom she had thrown out of her holy land, due to their radical and satanic ideas. They were thrown into the bone pits of Grenth. All seemed well until a systematic assault upon the Gods took place. The kingdom of Balthazar is now constantly under siege and Grenth’s lair has been taken over by the denizens of some unknown evil. While in Grenth's lair, the attackers reached the bone pits and unleashed the evil that Dwayana and Grenth had sealed there many ages ago. Your task is to clear the holy land of Dwayana and save the Goddess. At the end of the final stage, the sky returns to its original (Pale Blue) colour and Dwayana returns to congratulate you and presents you with an item that seals The Bone Pits and releases Grenth's spirit. She then transports you into Grenth’s Realm for you to clear.
Things you can obtain in CH:
*High-end drops
*ectos obsidian and diamonds or diamond shards
*Celestial Armour - The opposite of Obsidian Armour, bright and cheery in stead of dark and gloomy. This armour requires ectos and diamonds or diamond shards (instead of obsidian; now we have a use for diamonds).
Worn by Monks and Elementalists, without the usual penalties, yet with added bonuses.
Grenth - [Underworld]:
The purpose of this area is to clear the remnants of The Shadow Army and the Denizens of Evil and seal The Bone Pits thereby releasing Grenth's spirit. At the end of the final stage of Grenth’s Realm, the sky returns to its original colour and Grenth appears to congratulate you and then transports you into Melandru’s Realm for you to clear.
Melandru - [Platypus Sounds]:
Informed by Grenth that it would be a routine clean-up, you set out to do just that, knowing that The Underworld was sealed and safe. What Grenth had not known, was to keep disorder intact and rampant, The Shadow Army had dispatched several soldiers and more Denizens of Evil into The Sounds to entrap and snare Melandru, imprisoning Melandru in a lava and tar prison. At the end of the final stage of Melandru’s Realm, the sky returns to its original colour and Melandru congratulates you, before giving you one final choice.
Ranger: To tame The Golden Dragon (Bagheera).
Non Ranger: To accept The YY Ring. With this you attempt to tame The Golden Dragon, Bagheera. The ring only works on this creature and only when worn (takes 1 skill slot).
After that Melandru then transports you into Lyssa’s Realm for you to clear.
Things you can obtain in PS (Platypus Sounds):
*High-end drops
*ectos obsidian and diamonds
*Giant Tortoise
*Pygmy Hippo
*Red Panda
*Ocelot (looks like a mini leopard)
(If you have another pet that would be cool please list)
Final Prize:
Ranger: To tame The Golden Dragon (Bagheera).
Non Ranger: To accept The YY Ring that glows a deep emerald colour. With this you attempt to tame The Golden Dragon, Bagheera. The ring only works on this creature and only when worn (takes 1 skill slot).
Lyssa - [The Antarctic Wilds]:
A very surreal place on an icy landmass, a purple sky and a giant castle in the middle with winding staircases and mazes. Mountains and lakes. The Mirror Lakes provide a challenge, where if you stand on the lakes, you end up fighting doubles of yourself.
Lyssa has discovered a horrible "mirror" world where there’s another being for everyone in her domain. You must go in and defeat the evil counterparts and free the land of these "twin beings". At the end you get to fight your double again. As you return through the mirror, the sky darkens and you find Lyssa imprisoned by The Shadow Army. Once more you need to fight to free her from a prominent Mesmer Lord. At the end of the final stage of Lyssa’s Realm, the sky returns to its original colour and Lyssa appears to congratulate you and then transports you into the final realm (Balthazar’s Realm) for you to clear.
Balthazar - [Fissure of Woe]:
Now, its time to break the siege. Could be based on The Thunderhead Keep Mission.
The finale is to defeat Balthazar’s Brother who resurrects Thunderhead Keep once more.
When you have completed The Final Battle, all the Gods appear before you whereby they thank and bless you and grant you a choice, where you can take a skill/weapon for yourself or choose a weapon or armour that can be passed on to your descendants. which could become active when you purchase Guild Wars 2
